Abstract

Organization and execution of interlaboratory comparative tests of the parameters of the working environment and products used in work processes

Project manager: Dariusz Pleban Ph.D. (Eng.)

Project summary:

"The aim of the task was to extend the technical competence of the Institute's accredited testing laboratories through the organization and execution, together with national and foreign bodies, of interlaboratory comparative tests of products used in work processes and the parameters of the working environment. The scope of the task included: - participation in international and national comparative tests of personal protective equipment; - coordination and participation in interlaboratory comparative tests of mechanical vibration; - participation in interlaboratory tests covered by the Workplace Analysis Scheme for Proficiency, WASP; - coordination and execution of interlaboratory comparative tests related to the measurement of electromagnetic fields.Within the framework of the task, in CIOP-PIB's testing laboratories, several international and national comparative tests of personal protective equipment were carried out in the Department of Personal Protective Equipment; interlaboratory tests of measurements of the intensity of the electromagnetic field were carried out in the Laboratory of Electromagnetic Hazards of the Department of Bioelectromagnetism; interlaboratory comparative tests of hand-arm mechanical vibration affecting operators of an angle grinder were carried out in the Laboratory of Mechanical Vibration of the Department of Vibroacoustic Hazards; comparative tests within the WASP system - whose task is assurance of the quality of chemical analyses of air pollutants - were carried out at the Department of Chemical and Aerosol Hazards.
