Testing Laboratories Group at the Institute has been accredited since15th November 1995 under the national conformity assessment system. Under the accreditation scope, the activity of the testing laboratories includes the following areas: Testing products for certification purposes: Testing personal protective equipment (hearing and respiratory protective equipment, head, hand and foot protection, protective clothing, equipment protecting against falls from a height), Testing machinery and industrial devices (portable ladders), testing working environment parameters and factors related to safety and health of workers: measuring vibro-acoustic parameters, electromagnetic fields, laser and non-laser optical radiation, electric lightening at workplaces, concentration of hazardous dusts in workplaces air, exhaust emissions from Diesel engines measured as elemental carbon (EC), physiological parameters of man in the working environment (energy expenditure).
