Metrological supervision of measuring equipment used for tests related to health and safety at work and environmental protection

Description:

A proper evaluation of the tests performed is only possible if valid measurement results are obtained. The result of a measurement shall be related to national and international standards, through an unbroken chain of comparisons, all of which have defined uncertainties (measurement traceability). This is achieved by calibrating the measuring equipment used for testing. The measuring equipment should be calibrated by the National Metrology Institute (NMI) or an accredited calibration laboratory.
The aim of this project is to implement metrological supervision (realized through calibration) of the measuring equipment used in the CIOP-PIB testing and calibration laboratories. This is the basis for obtaining reliable occupational health and safety and environmental protection test results provided to CIOP-PIB clients.

Application:

The results obtained guarantee that the results of tests and measurements carried out in CIOP-PIB laboratories can be referred to national and international standards, while ensuring measurement traceability. Thus, the important requirements of the ISO/IEC 17025 standard are met.
