Project manager: Małgorzata Jędrzejewska M.Sc. (Eng.)

Project summary:

Improvement of the certification process of products and management systems was the aim of this study. There were developed new editions of the documentation of the Centre for Certification of Products (CCP) and the Centre for Certification of Persons and Management System (CCPMS) within the scope of their activities. This documentation was updated due to organisational changes in the Institute, requirements of the revised standard PN-EN ISO 17021:2011, new accreditation requirements and comments of internal and external audits. The actions to expand the scope of accreditation by the programme for certification of the OHS management system due to the standard BS OHSAS 18001:2007 were also developed.
Existing management system was periodically assessed through the Polish Centre of Accreditation. The PCA confirmed the Institute`s impartiality and independence on the certification of products and management systems as well as correctness of conducting these processes. The PCA`s assessment works confirmed also that the Institute`s management system within the certification of products and management systems is compatible with accreditation requirements and that the Institute is qualified to process the accreditation works.
