Electricity
Common use of electric power in all fields of technology and in everyday life brings, except many advantages, also many dangers for man as well as for his working and living environment. Wrongly used electric devices can provoke electric shock, failures, fires and explosions. In Poland in 2000, the coefficient of fatal accidents caused by an electric shock is 7,5 which is many times higher than the same coefficient in the most industrialized European countries, where it figures out from 1,3 to 2,0. This is due to imperfection of technical solutions of electric installations and devices in millions of houses, farms and other buildings. This is also caused by the lack of knowledge about the occurrence of the hazard and the ways of its limitation.
