BEWARE OF FORGED CIOP-PIB CERTIFICATES!

As a result of the information CIOP-PIB has recently been receiving, we hereby warn against using forged EC type-examination or EU type-examination certificates CIOP-PIB (Notified Body No 1437) issues for compliance with Directive 89/686/EEC or Regulation 2016/425.

Forged certificates may look like documents issued by CIOP-PIB, contain CIOP-PIB data and logo as well as inaccurate information, in particular on certified products and certificate holders’ data.

We would like to remind you that forging or modifying the content and the markings of a certificate (including its photocopy or scan) or using such a document as authentic meets the definition of a crime under Article 270 § 1 of the Penal Code.
Please note that there is a list of certificates issued by the Institute on CIOP-PIB website, providing, among others, the name and address of certificate holder and the name and identification of the certified products.

Should you have any doubts about the authenticity of the certificates, please contact the Centre for Certification of Personal Protective and Working Equipment in CIOP-PIB (e-mail: ocw@ciop.lodz.pl or agste@ciop.lodz.pl).

We would also like to remind you that every modification to the product and its technical documentation, to which the certificate issued by CIOP-PIB pertains, should be reported to the Centre for Certification of Personal Protective and Working Equipment
Information about the companies which have been proven to forge a certificate (its photocopy or scan) or use a forged certificate will be published on the Institute's website.
