Daily noise exposure level for stationary noise

Daily noise exposure level for stationary noise

Program supporting the determination of the daily noise exposure level LEX,8h (marked in the program as L_EX,8h). At the same time, the program estimates the occupational risk associated with exposure to noise, taking into account the employee's belonging to a particular risk group.

The quantities on the basis of which the daily noise exposure level is calculated are:

LAeq - equivalent A-weighted sound pressure level, determined for the exposure time
Te - exposure time to noise in minutes,

In the left part of the program window, the selected value of the equivalent A-weighted sound pressure level (vertical axis, designated L_Aeq) and exposure time (horizontal axis, designated T_e) is displayed in the form of a bar chart. The calculated value of the daily noise exposure level is displayed in numerical form at the top of the program window and in a graphical form on the graph in the right part of the program window. This chart contains three bars, the height of which reflects the value of the daily noise exposure level, while the colors reflect the result of the occupational risk assessment, the first and widest bar concerns employees not belonging to special risk groups, and the next relates to adolescents employees and pregnant women.

Color marking in occupational risk assessment:

green color – low occupational risk,
yellow color – medium occuparional risk,
red color – high occupational risk.

Occupational risk assessment is performed in relation to the applicable limit values, specified in the Regulation of the Minister of Family, Labor and Social Policy of June 12, 2018 regarding the highest admissible concentrations and intensities of factors harmful to health in the work environment (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1286). For pregnant women and young workers limit values are set out in the Regulation of the Council of Ministers of April 3, 2017 on the list of works that are onerous, dangerous or harmful to the health of pregnant women and women who breast-feed their baby (Journal of Laws 2017 item. 796) and the Regulation of the Council of Ministers of 5 July 2005 amending the regulation on the list of prohibited work for adolescents and the conditions of their employment for some of these works (Journal of Laws 2005, no. 136, item. 1145, last change Journal of Laws 2015 item 929)

Using the program:
The equivalent A-weighted sound pressure level (LAeq) is determined using the W and S keys. The exposure time (Te) is changed using the A and D keys.
