Abstract

Development of a system of active reduction of low frequency noise to improve the sound insulation of industrial cabins

Project manager: Leszek Morzyński Ph.D. (Eng.)

Project summary:

"As a result of this task 3 technical solutions were developed for active noise reduction in sound insulated industrial cabins: a system of creating quiet zones, active headphones and an active headrest. The need to create different technical solutions results from the specificity of cabins and the conditions in them. All 3 solutions are based on the same control system; however, they differ in such parameters as efficiency, stability and ergonomics. Also developed were guidelines for the selection and location of the component elements of active noise reduction systems in industrial cabins. Thanks to them, it is possible to establish which technical solution will be efficient in a given cabin and which component elements should be used when an active reduction system is constructed."
