Abstract

Organization and realisation of domestic and international programmes on inter-laboratory comparison for the study of parameters of work environment, personal protective equipment and machines

Project summary:

The purpose of this study was to confirm competences of the research laboratories of the Institute to perform inter-laboratory comparisons by taking part in programmes for research quality control.
The aim of this study was to be achieved by organisation and participation of the accredited laboratories in both domestic and international inter-laboratory comparison programmes within the following fields:
- research of woodworking machines and tools;
- research of personal protective equipment: textiles to produce protective clothing and gloves as well as materials for protection of hands and feet;
- research of harmful substances in the air covered by the international quality control system WASP;
- measurement of the intensity of the electromagnetic field;
- measurement of the person energy expenditure in the workstation;
- measurement of calibration of the meter for carbon monoxide concentration in the air;
- measurement of noise;
- measurement of non-laser optical radiation.
The accredited research and calibrating laboratories of the Institute realised 11 international and 19 domestic programmes of inter-laboratory comparisons that confirmed their proficiency within this field of activity.
