Abstract

The application of automatic identification system to monitor exploitation time of selected personal protective equipment to allow employers fulfilling their obligations of the Council Directive 89/656/EEC.

Project summary:

The purpose of this study was to develop a system enabling automation of storage, maintenance and usage of personal protective equipment (i.e. clothing for fire service, chemical emergency service and heat protecting clothing) in enterprises. This system helped workers to meet requirements of the Council Directive 89/656/EEC.
Study results:
- Implementation methods of electronic tags in fabrics and polymeric materials personal protective equipment are made from;
- Automatic identification system to monitor exploitation time of selected personal protective equipment;
- Technical documentation of computer tool to monitor exploitation time of personal protective equipment;
- Promotion materials (leaflet) on computer tool to monitor exploitation time of personal protective equipment published on the CIOP-PIB website.
