Department of Chemical and Aerosol Hazards - Projects
Abstract

The study of threat resulted from emission of chemical substances from the office printing and duplicating equipment.

Project manager: Joanna Kowalska M.Sc.

Project summary:

The subject of this study was a threat assessment resulting from emission of chemical substances from the office printing and duplicating equipment, basing on indication of the level of concentration in the measuring chamber of chemical substances and small dust particles while operation of these equipment.
Measuring chamber was constructed; there were specified parameters of sampling and emission level of chemicals. Three printers, three photocopiers and one multifunction device were used for the laboratory analysis.
Experimental part of the study referred to quality and quantity analysis of chemical air pollution in the measuring chamber.
Basing on collected results and information and due to legislation in force there were recommended some preventions in order to reduce threats connected with emission of chemical substances from the office printing and duplicating equipment. Training materials were also published.
