Abstract

Development of the principles of monitoring exposure to harmful and strenuous factors in the working environment that meet European Union standards within the activity of the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions (Dublin)

Project summary:

"The aim of this work was to assess the principles of monitoring exposure to harmful and strenuous factors in the working environment in Poland, in the aspect of compliance with standards binding in EU Member States.To do that the following tasks were taken up: comparison of the methodology of studying occupational exposure to harmful and strenuous factors in Poland and in the EU, data on occupational exposure in Poland on a representative sample of selected enterprises in particularly dangerous sectors were collected and compared, a proposal for changes in the Polish system of monitoring occupational exposure and its effects to adapting it to systems operating in other EU countries was developed.The work also resulted in the development of a computer database on exposure to harmful and strenuous factors in the enterprises that were studied (data from survey and environmental studies, and from the Central Office of Statistics), of a draft of a questionnaire for surveys on working conditions, of a draft of changes in the Z-10 form and a draft of explanations to go with that form; of IT and education materials."
