Project duration:

01.07.2015 – 30.06.2018

Project objective:

The project aims at working out a method for the application of proecological mineral compounds in the manufacture of gloves and footwear protecting against cold under occupational exposure conditions. It is assumed to develop a brand-new construction solutions of heated gloves and footwear that will actively react to working environment  conditions, thus adapting their thermal and insulation properties to the user’s needs in given working conditions.

Project outputs:

  1. Guidelines for assessing  the activity of mineral compounds to be used for protective gloves and footwear
  2. Models of heating elements of different weight and shape, intended for prototype solutions of gloves and footwear.
  3. Method for the application of heating elements in the design of protective gloves and footwear.
  4. Model designs of protective gloves and footwear ergonomically integrated with heating elements.
  5. Prototype solutions of heated protective gloves and footwear  containing proecological mineral compounds.
  6. Principles for the use of cold-protective gloves and footwear equipped with heating elements with a view to optimal use of thermal energy.
