Abstract

Model solutions of polymer nanocomposites for use in bifunctional materials protecting against oil and mechanical factors.

Project manager: Sylwia Krzemińska Ph.D. (Eng.)

Project summary:

Within the project recipes of polymer blends for the nanostructures composites preparation with assumed barrier and mechanical properties against mineral oils were developed. To prepare flat films and disposable gloves samples a one-off dipping technique of the forms in the latex mixture using the initial forms dipping in coagulation bath. As a form rectangular ceramic tiles and ceramic model of a glove were applied. Five variants of materials were prepared without the nanofiller, diverse in terms of cross-linking agent and the amount of cross-linking agent added into the latex XNBR and 5 variants of materials containing a nanofiller, varying in terms of the type of nanofiller. The scope of work also included an analysis of the structure of materials in order to confirm whether they reveal properties pf nanocomposites.
