Abstract

Compatibility of methods assessing internal and external musculoskeletal load.

Project manager: Tomasz Tokarski Ph.D.

Project summary:

The project was carried out to assess the global burden of biomechanical risk factors using standardized criteria based on the load methods contained in PN-EN 1005 series of standards on selected 40 workstations. Studies were conducted in real working conditions using surface electromyography and a system to register and analyze motion. On their basis the relationship between registered parameters resulting from the internal and external load was determined, and developed by classification of usual work method. KLAT method is used to perform the classification of musculoskeletal load when performing usual work as activities of a small load. In special cases, it is recommended to measure load by using specialized methods based on measuring electrical muscle activity or by using methods registering and analyzing motion.
