Elaboration of methods of estimation of the violence level at work and methods of its counteraction.

Project summary:

The purpose of this study was to elaborate methods of estimation of the violence level in work and ways of its counteraction within the public administration sector. Unfavourable work environment in which a worker experiences violence has a negative influence on his/her efficiency and as a result, on the efficiency of the whole organisation. In Poland is still missing some practical instruments to estimate and counteract of this problem at work.
It was developed the following research methodology - questionnaire form regarding
1 - organisational factors that may potentially increase or limit a risk of violence at work in the public administration sector;
2 - level and character of violence among workers in question;
3 - level of negative results of violence at work regarding individual workers.
Indicators developed in experimental researches were the basis of proposal of preliminary methods that could be effective in counteraction of violence at work in the public administration sector. As a result it was drawn up a guide presenting methods of estimation and counteracting of violence at work in the public administration sector.
