Development and implementation of procedures for checking compliance of solutions in designed machinery control systems with the requirements of the European directives related to safety

Project summary:

The aim of this task was to develop and implement a system of testing and assessing the resistance of machinery control systems to defects, which can take place during the operation of machinery. Procedures, which were checked during testing and assessing machinery, were developed in the consecutive stages of this task. A general method of conducting and documenting validation of control systems was also developed. It considers the differences that can be found in individual standards. On the basis of the test results, it was concluded that the assessment of control systems will conform to the provisions in the following documents: PN-EN 954-1:2001, ISO/DIS 13849-1 and IEC/FDIS 62061.
