Abstract

Deepening the analysis of accidents at work within the Centre for Accident.

Project summary:

Based on the statistical analysis of data on accidents at work, registered by GUS, types of work with the highest accidents risk at work were selected. Number of accidents at work and their frequency in particular types of economic activities were examined. Multivariate data analysis was conducted using segmentation method (two-stage grouping), which made possible to classify accidents at work taking into consideration many variables describing at the same time the environment and the victim. The analysis effectively helped to identify those types of work, which may cause risk at work. In these types of work in-depth basket analysis was carried out to find the course and causes of accidents at work. This analysis allowed to identify most common course of accidents. analysis was carried out aimed at system improvement enabling data registration concerning accidents at work and study tools, by proposals of statistical accident card modification. Data from analysis and training materials containing information on results were prepared.
