Abstract

Examination of the relationship between style of leadership, climate for creativity, innovation and work efficiency.

Project summary:

The aim of the project was to analyze the influence of psychosocial factors in the working environment on innovation and efficiency of the organization, as well as, raising employers and employees awareness regarding the role of these psychosocial working conditions in developing innovative and effective jobs. The project focused on the professional services sector - one of the fastest growing sectors. The study was conducted among 270 employees of professional services sector, in 40 organizations in five provinces: pomorskie, dolnośląskie, śląskie, łódzkie, mazowieckie. Average age of the group was 37 years (53% of the respondents were women). 64.4% of people subjects had higher education, and 25.9% - secondary education. For research tools following were selected: "Leadership Questionnaire" to measure style of leadership, "Work Climate Creativity Questionnaire" to measure the climate for creativity, questionnaire "Innovative Work Results" to measure innovation, questionnaires measuring effectiveness at the group and organization level. In order to better understand the tested compounds UWES questionnaire was used, designed to measure work commitment. These tools are supplemented by going to leave their jobs, stress and sickness absenteeism.
