Determination of the equivalent G-weighted sound pressure level, normalised to an 8-hour working day
A program supporting the determination of the equivalent G-weighted sound pressure level normalised to an 8-hour working day, LGeq,8h (marked in the program as L_Geq,8h). At the same time, the program assesses the occupational risk related to exposure to infrasonic noise of adolescent workers and pregnant women.
The values on the basis of which the equivalent G-weighted sound pressure level normalised to the 8-hour working day is calculated are:
LGeq - G-weighted equivalent sound pressure level, determined for the exposure time,
Te - noise exposure time in minutes.
In the left part of the program window, the selected value of the equivalent G-weighted sound pressure level (vertical axis, marked L_Geq) and exposure time (horizontal axis, marked T_e) is displayed in the form of a bar chart. The calculated value of the equivalent G-weighted sound pressure level normalised to the 8-hour working day is displayed in numerical form in the upper part of the program window and graphically on the graph in the right part of the program window. The height of the bar reflects the value of the G-weighted equivalent sound pressure level based on an 8-hour working day, and the colours reflect the result of the occupational risk assessment.
Colour marking in occupational risk assessment:
green colour – low occupational risk,
yellow colour – ryzyko zawodowe średnie,
red colour – rhigh occupational risk.
The occupational risk assessment is carried out in relation to the applicable limit values specified in the Regulation of the Council of Ministers of 3 April, 2017 on the list of burdensome, dangerous or harmful work for pregnant women and women breastfeeding a child (Journal of Laws 2017, item 796) and the Regulation of the Council of Ministers of 24 August, 2004 on the list of works forbidden to adolescents and the conditions of employing them for some of these works (Journal of Laws 2004, No. 200, item 2047, as amended, consolidated text Journal of Laws 2016, item 1509).
Operating the program:
The value of the equivalent G-weighted sound pressure level (L_Geq) is set using the W and S keys. The exposure time (Te) is changed using the A and D keys.
