XVII International Conference on Noise Control

XVII International Conference Noise Control 2016

XVII International Conference Noise Control 2016 was held in the Castle of Gniew, Poland, May 22-25, 2016. The conference was addressed to those involved in the problems of noise and vibration control in research and development, training, occupational safety and health management, protection of the working and natural environment.

The conference gathered 159 participants – experts from Poland, Canada, India, Romania, Slovakia, Finland, Great Britaing and Italy, dealing with the issues od reducing the impact of noise and vibrations on people and environment.

Among the participants there were also representatives of press (“Bezpieczeństwo Pracy – Nauka i Praktyka”), Polish Parliament (Antoni Szymański – member of the Senate, Ewa Lieder – member of Parliament) local government (Adam Klimczak – representative of the Tczew District), institutions (e.g., National Labour Inspectorate, Chief Inspectorate of Environental Protection, Ministry of Environment) as well as of employers and employees. Their active participation (e.g., presentations during the sessions “Noise and vibration control in working environment – good practices ” and “Noise and vibration control – measurement equipment and technical solutions”) made it possible to exchange experiences and to discuss specific legislative solutions as well as education activities and popularisation of the conference subject in the society.
