Streszczenie projektu:

The project reviewed literature regarding types of nano-materials and their application, nano-objects test methods, results of exposure to nano-objects studies, legal requirements, standards and measures for the assessment if exposure to nano-materials. Methodology and research strategy was defined studying nano-objects emission process and occupational exposure depending on way of generation and use of nano-materials. Studies were also carried on air emissions of particles out of ten types of nano-materials, which under various processes of nano-materials manufacture or use (21 processes) can be air emitted in form of nano-particles, nano-platelet, nano-tubes and nano-fibres. Studies were conducted in such way that enabled real-time measuring. Meanwhile studies measuring air parameters ie. temperature, relative humidity, and speed of movement.
Obtained data confirmed necessity of comprehensive, multi-parameter approach to measurements carried out in order to asses exposure to nano-objects. As a result of project data analysis, a procedure measuring emission of nano-size particles in generation and usage processes of nano-materials counting methods.
