Abstract

Conducting national and international inter-laboratory comparative tests of personal protective equipment, machinery and parameters of the working environment

Project summary:

The aim of the task was to confirm the high competence of the testing laboratories of CIOP-PIB for conducting tests by taking part in quality control programmes of which inter-laboratory comparative tests are part. The inter-laboratory comparative tests that were done involved: - personal protective equipment - testing textiles used in, among others, manufacturing protective clothing, safety gloves and safety shoes, - harmful substances in workplace air - tests were part of the international quality control system "The Workplace Analysis Scheme for Proficiency" (WASP), - electromagnetic fields - measurements of field intensity. The fact that the Instituteʼs testing laboratories participated in the above-mentioned inter-laboratory comparative tests confirmed the high technical competence of the staff of the laboratories; it was also an element of development obligatory in laboratories in the management system that complies with the requirements of Standard No. PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005. The results of the task were drawn up and passed on to the Polish Centre for Accreditation.
