Abstract

Study the extent of electrostatic discharge from the surface of electrified dielectrics for explosion protection.

Project manager: Zygmunt Grabarczyk Ph.D. (Eng.)

Project summary:

The aim of the study was to develop a method and apparatus for evaluating the possibility of electrostatic discharge (ESD) from the electrified dielectric surface, capable of causing ignition of explosive gas atmospheres. Developed method and device is an extension of the meter charge transferred by brush-discharge forced by electrode.
