Abstract

The activity of the Interdepartmental Commission for Maximum Admissible Concentrations and Intensities for Agents Harmful to Health in the Working Environment

Project summary:

"In 2002-2004, as a result of this task, 12 meetings of the Interdepartmental Commission for Maximum Admissible Concentrations and Intensities took place. The following issues were discussed: 74 documentations of admissible levels of occupational exposure to chemical agents harmful to health in the working environment; a change in the definition of maximum admissible concentrations for agents harmful to health in the working environmenttaking into account the measurement strategy and the requirements in the 2000/39/EC directive; a motion of the Expert Group for Chemical Agents regarding those substances for which the admissible values of concentrations differ from those in the 2000/39/EC directive; an assessment of hazards related to optical radiation at workstations and an assessment of the lighting parameters at workstations; a motion to amend the regulation of the Minister of Infrastructure of December 30, 2003, on official certification of motor vehicles and trailers; recommended values of the concentrations of harmful biological agents suggested by the Expert Group for Biological Agents; changes in the range of vibrations transposing provisions in the 2002/44/EC directive into Polish law."
