Abstract

Computer-assisted prevention of exposure to noise and vibration in the working environment

Project manager: Paweł Górski M.Sc. (Eng.)

Project summary:

The aim of the task was to develop a computer system assisting in prevention directed at elimination of the effects of exposure to noise and mechanical vibration in the working environment, which would operate with the use of the Internet. The assumption was that an Internet portal related to noise and mechanical vibration in the working environment would be the main part of this system. The task has resulted in an updated and reliable Internet portal that assists in preventing exposure to noise and mechanical vibration in the working environment and that includes: - a database with regulations, methods and practical solutions for reducing occupational risk in the working environment,- computer tools assisting in occupational risk assessment in the working environment,- guides related to assistance in preventing exposure to noise and mechanical vibration in the working environment, addressed to selected branches of the economy with high occupational risk. The portal is complemented with training materials prepared within the framework of the task. Those materials are related to noise and mechanical vibration in the working environment and are addressed to selected branches of the economy with high occupational risk.
