The Healthy Workplace Initiative campaign is an initiative of the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work and its national Focal Points network aimed at providing employers and employees with easy access to quality information on how to make their workplace safer, healthier and more productive.
The campaign will run in Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Turkey.

In 2007 seminars will be organized in Poland in following cities:
- in May – Katowice
- in September – Wrocław
- in October – Łódź

The Conference is organized by CIOP-PIB in association with the European Society of Protective Clothing (ESPC) under the patronage of the Polish Ministry of Economy and the European Safety Federation.

CONFERENCE PROGRAMME

The main purpose of the Conference is the exchange of knowledge and experience from the field of protective clothing, including gloves and footwear. The program of the Conference will include the following scientific and technical topics:
• New products and technologies
• Intelligent materials and wearable technologies
• Nanotechnology in protective clothing
• New test methods, assessment criteria and standardisation
• Physiological and ergonomic issues
• Modelling of protective clothing performance
• Selection, safe use and maintenance of protective clothing
• Influence of usage conditions on performance and service-life

Date and venue: 12-14 September 2005 – Cracow

Conference topics

The programme of the Conferece included the following topics:
- new technologies and materials for PPE,
- testing methods and criteria for assessing protective and usability perameters
  of PPE with respect to emerging hazards and its effectiveness in the conditions
  of use,
- principles, methods and tools supporting selection and safe use of PPE,
- standardization, certification and market surveillance in the field of pPE.

Conference topics concerned all kinds of PPE, i.e., respiratory protective devices, protective clothing, protective helmets, hand and arm protective equipment, foot and leg protective equipment, eye and face protectors, equipment protecting against falls from heigh, hearing protective devices.
