    Compliance Status

    The website is partially compliant with the Act on the Digital Accessibility of Public Entities’ Websites and Mobile Applications due to the following non-conformities:

      1. Absence of descriptive transcripts for some audio and video materials.
      2. Low contrast in certain text and non-text elements.
      3. Lack of full functionality accessibility via keyboard.
      4. Some uploaded files are graphical PDFs only.
      5. Some information is presented only in graphical form.
      6. PDF files lack structural tags.
      7. Missing alternative text for some images.
      8. Pre-Act graphics do not meet minimum contrast and alternative text requirements for visually impaired users (updates are being implemented progressively).

  2. Accessibility declaration - architectural accessibility of CIOP-PIB buildings

    ul. Czerniakowska 16, Warsaw – Building A (Main Headquarters):

    Exterior, Parking, and Entrance
    The main entrance is accessible via a direct driveway. The area in front of the building is paved.
    One designated parking space for individuals with disabilities is available near the main entrance.
    The entrance features both stairs and an 8% incline ramp for individuals with disabilities. The outer doors are hinged, and the inner glass doors are marked with contrast stripes and open automatically.
    Guide and assistance dogs are permitted on the premises.

    Reception Area
    An information desk is located directly at the entrance.
    Building Layout and Accessibility
    The building is an 8-story structure.
    The doors have no thresholds, and their width is at least 90 cm.
    While there are no Braille markings in the building, signs and descriptions use enlarged text and contrasting colours, with each floor distinguished by different colours.
    Three accessible restrooms are located on the ground floor (entrance level), second floor (near lecture rooms), and third floor (near conference rooms and Institute Management offices

    Elevators
    The elevators are adapted for transporting individuals with disabilities. All floors are accessible by elevator
    The elevators are partially adapted for visually impaired individuals, featuring voice announcements and Braille-labeled buttons labelled .


    ul. Czerniakowska 16, Warsaw – Building B, CIOP-PIB Laboratories :

    Exterior, Parking and Entrance
    A direct access road leads to the main entrance, with a paved area in front of the building.
    Three designated parking spaces for people with disabilities are located near the main entrance.
    There are no stairs at the entrance. The building is accessible from ground level without architectural barriers.
    The glazed entrance doors are, swingable, and feature contrasting stripes.
    Guide dogs and assistance dogs are permitted on the premises.

    Reception
    The reception desk is directly opposite the entrance and includes information stations.
    The reception counter includes a lowered section at 75 cm height, to accommodate wheelchair users.

    Building Layout and Accessibility
    This three-story building, accessible though threshold-free, at least 90 cm wide doors, features complete Braille markings, enlarged room names and numbers in contrasting colours, and accessible restrooms on each floor.

    Elevators
    The elevators are adapted for transporting people with disabilities.
    The elevators serve all primary floors, with two mezzanine laboratory spaces accessible only by stairs.
    The elevators include voice announcements and Braille buttons but lack contrasting colours inside.

    ul. Wierzbowa 48, Łódź - Personal Protection Equipment Department:

    Exterior, Parking and Entrance
    A direct access road leads to the main entrance, with a paved area in front of the building.
    There are no designated parking spaces for individuals with disabilities near the entrance.
    The main entrance is at ground level without stairs, featuring swingable glazed entrance doors with contrasting stripes.
    Guide dogs and assistance dogs are permitted on the premises..

    Reception
    The reception desk is directly at the entrance and includes an information station.

    Building Layout and Accessibilityu
    The complex consists of three interconnected buildings: the main building (Building C) with 3 stories, the office-laboratory building (Building A) with 4 stories, and the laboratory building (Building B) with 3 stories. The primary entrance is located in Building C, the main building. Adjacent to the reception area, a multifunctional conference room provides a private space for client meetings with our employees. The current building configuration stems from the merger of an office-laboratory building with two post-industrial structures, resulting in varying floor heights and levels. Due to this architectural arrangement, only the ground floor of the main building is accessible to individuals with mobility impairments. Throughout the buildings, all doors maintain a minimum width of 90 cm and have no thresholds. However, the facilities currently lack Braille markings, contrasting markings, and enlarged text descriptions. An accessible restroom is available on the ground floor of the main building.

    Elevators

    The buildings are not equipped with elevators.

  3. Description of Property Accessibility

    The facility at ul. Czerniakowska 16 comprises two buildings designated as A and B. Building A is structurally connected to the ZUS building, forming one segmented block, while Building B stands as a new independent structure.
    Building A is fully accessible and adapted to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities, featuring

    ul. Wierzbowa 48, Łódź – Personal Protection Equipment Department:
    The facility at ul. Wierzbowa 48 consists of three functionally connected buildings: A, B, and C. This complex emerged from merging an office-laboratory building with two refurbished post-industrial buildings, resulting in varying story counts and heights. Due to this architectural configuration, only the ground floor of the main building is accessible to individuals with mobility impairments.
    The main building is only partially accessible and adapted to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities, featuring: Ground-level entrance. Appropriate width of communication routes. A restroom for individuals with disabilities on the ground floor
