Maintaining and developing technical and organizational competencies of testing and calibration laboratories

Project summary:

The aim of this task was to improve the management systems of the testing and calibration laboratories of the Institute, which comply with the requirements of PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 "General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories" and to conduct activities related with ensuring the competence in management and technical competence of the laboratories. The scope of the task involved: - updating and surveillance over documents of the management systems of testing and calibration laboratories, - development of new editions of the general parts of the documentation of management systems of the Instituteʼs testing and calibration laboratories, which comply with the requirements of PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005, - verification of testing and calibration procedures, - development of new testing procedures to extend the scope of accreditation, - development of new instructions for estimating measurement uncertainties, - modernization of testing and calibration stands, - correction and prevention activities, - programmes of quality control of testing and calibration, - internal audits and surveillance of management, - maintenance and development of the competence of the personnel of testing and calibration laboratories through participation in external and internal training. - updating and publication of information materials on the activity of testing and calibration laboratories, - improvement and supervision of the IT system for managing the documentation of the testing laboratories, - updating of the documents of the management system of the testing laboratories that are available on eJakosc, - development of models of processes of the circulation of documents related to calibration in calibration laboratories, - implementation of processes of electronic circulation of documents related to calibration in the Group of Calibration Laboratories.
