Abstract

Determination of the principles of occupational safety and health in telework systems

Project manager: Barbara Krzyśków Ph.D.

Project summary:

Successive stages of this work consisted in analysing the concept of telework and in attempting to establish if its definitions cover the premises specified in the labour code in respect to employment. The survey that was conducted aimed at studying the models of telework used in practice, the accepted legal bases, and the conditions in which telework was done. Analyses showed that that labour code regulations related to work time, leave and pay were complied with. However, compliance with labour law regulations did not usually cover occupational safety and health regulations. This especially concerns such aspects as an assessment of the workstation and occupational risk assessment, which are difficult to carry out because of the specificity of telework, especially is it done from home.
