Abstract

Development of modern materials and techniques for information transfer in promoting the use of personal protective equipment in extra-occupational activities

Project summary:

The task consisted in developing drafts of 12 brochures addressed to people practising selected sports disciplines, e.g. hockey, skiing, snowboarding, cycling, kayaking, sailing, inline and roller skating, and horse riding. A draft of a brochure on safe behaviour when redecorating and gardening was developed, too. Also, a multimedia internet portal was developed and launched on CIOP-PIB's server. It has instruction films and advice on safe behaviour when practising sports, redecorating and gardening.The developed information and training materials that present the principles of type examination and the requirements in law regulations on helmets, protectors and clothing using when practising selected sports disciplines are addressed to manufacturers and distributors of this group of products.Training and information materials were also developed on the use of personal protective equipment when redecorating and gardening with equipment for non-professional use.
