Abstract

Developing guidelines for selecting clothing, gloves and footwear protecting against hot factors

Project manager: Grażyna Bartkowiak Ph.D. (Eng.)

Project summary:

The aim of the task was to develop guides that present up-to-date and systematized knowledge on the requirements for classifying clothing, gloves and shoes protecting against hot factors, which is indispensible for both the services responsible for selecting them and the conditions in which they are used in individual enterprises, and manufacturers responsible for their assessment. Two guides were developed: - a guide for employers and occupational safety and health services "Clothing, gloves and footwear protecting against hot factors. A guide for selecting and using" - a guide for manufacturers of personal protective equipment "Clothing, gloves and footwear protecting against hot factors. The principles of assessing compliance". A multimedia application was developed for both guides. It makes it possible for users to look for the contents they need; the application contains short films and photographs with sample construction of clothing, gloves and footwear protecting against hot factors. The guides were published on CD.
