Project summary:

Within the project reason analysis of more than 26 thousand agriculture accidents in private farms that were reported in year 2010 based on statistical ASIF data was carried out, and a questionnaire to assess mental and physical load for farm workers was developed. Then a survey was conducted among 500 farmers and a research on muscular tension during typical work on the farm among 20 farmers. Based on survey research 9 activities during which accidents occur most often were specified. Which are: climbing the ladder and descending from it, moving load in hands, walking without a load, cutting wood with a chain saw, repair and refill of fluids in agricultural machinery, milking cows, giving fodder to animals, directing tractor during field work, spraying plants with the use of knapsack sprayer. Studies confirmed the character of farmers work , influenced by many factors leading to both physical and mental excessive load.
