Abstract

Development of guidelines for reducing hazards related to using power equipment in small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) manufacturing construction materials

Project summary:

The aim of the task was to increase the level of occupational safety in small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) manufacturing construction materials. To achieve this aim, guidelines for reducing occupational risk related to electric hazards were developed. They were then verified. A guide for employers was developed on their basis.The subjects presented in the guide guidelines for reducing occupational risk related to electric hazards in SMEs manufacturing construction materials were verified in consultations with specialists in the field and with electricians in those enterprises. Their comments were included in the content of the guide. The material presented in the guide was complemented with a bibliography with a list of binding regulations, current standards and publications in the field.
