Abstract

Running and updating an Internet website on Polish and European legal requirements related to occupational safety and health and ergonomics

Project summary:

"The aim of the task was to run an Internet website with information related to current legal regulations related to occupational safety and ergonomics.Tool software for a system of databases was designed and implemented in the content management system (CMS) of CIOP-PIB's Internet portal; with this tool it is possible to centrally manage resources with information on legal acts that is gathered in the portal, and all other sets of information on legal acts shown in any part of the portal within CMS.The task involved developing a database with information on legal acts related to occupational safety and health and procedures for making it accessible in any part of the portal, a system of dynamic updating the contents of this database and automating updating all webpages in which the legal acts are presented, a system of classifying legal acts, which makes it possible to assign them to specific parts of the portal, a search engine for legal acts and a system of assigning and showing legal acts that have been changed, and legal acts superseding other legal acts.Information on new legal requirements related to occupational safety and health has been systematically presented on the portal. Since 2006, commentaries on legal regulations in various areas of OSH have also been made accessible. Altogether, information on 723 legal acts (including 179 full texts and 373 references), 362 information items on amendments and 99 on repeals."
